JEFFERSON CITY - While lawmakers are back in the capitol, Governor Blunt may soon be heading to a courtroom.
One of the governor's former staff lawyers filed suit, claiming the governor fired him after he challenged the administrations e-mail retention practices.
Scott Eckersley says the firing happened after he protested the deleting of government e-mails which violates Missouri's open-records law.
Blunt's administration says it fired Eckersley because he wasn't doing a good job.
