COLUMBIA - Fire and EMS were dispatched to Broadway Village Apartment's swimming pool for the report of a male at the bottom of the pool not moving approximately 10 p.m. Saturday.
The victim is 44-year-old male of Columbia.
Authorities who arrived at the scene immediately began life saving measures in the form of CPR. The patient was transported to UMC Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The identity of the patient is being withheld until positively identified by next of kin.
