STILLWATER- The Oklahoma State Cowboys defeated the Missouri Tigers for the second straight season on Saturday by a score of 33-17. Find out what the Tigers said about the loss, and how they are looking forward to Homecoming.
Pistol Pete's pregame antics may have shot the Tigers with a bout of mistake-ridden football. Four turnovers, and a Missouri team left frustrated by the little things.
"We fought hard but just a lot, a lot of mistakes today and it's hard to...You gotta overcome them and we're not good enough to overcome them," coach Gary Pinkel said.
"That's what a lot of it is. Missouri beating Missouri, making a lot of mistakes. It's nothing we can't correct," Missouri cornerback Carl Gettis said.
Despite the loss, one Tiger says he believes it can only provide more motivation for next week's Homecoming showdown with the second ranked Texas Longhorns.
"It's a great opportunity. We went down there and they embarrassed us last year. And they're coming in undefeated, and we're coming off two losses, and we're tired of losing," Missouri center Tim Barnes said.
