COLUMBIA - A jogger was robbed at Stankowski field early Sunday morning.
According to a news release from the University of Missouri Police Department, officers received a report of a robbery on Stankowski recreation complex running track around 3 a.m.
The victim said he was running on the track when three black males assaulted him from behind. He said they hit him on the right side of the face and he then fell to the ground, at which point they took his iPod, cell phone, cash and pocket knife. There were no weapons displayed to the victim and he did not receive any medical attention.
According to the victim's description, one suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and another was wearing a white sweatshirt. The victim also said one of the three suspects wore his hair in cornrows.
