LAWRENCE - The Tigers visited Lawrence hoping to end their ten year losing streak at Allen Fieldhouse, but the Jayhawks prevailed once more and kept their record strong.

It wasn't an easy start for Missouri from the get-go. Commiting 10 fouls started to put the Tigers at the disadvantage.

"We're trying to make that 10 point play you know and sometimes the harder you try the bigger hole you get...Get into. I thought that took place, you know they lived at the free throw line. We only shot three free throws in the first half," stated Coach Mike Anderson.

And at the end of the first half, Kansas pulled away with a 20 point lead at the half. The Tigers had difficulties avoiding fouls in the first half but one of the main challenges throughout the entire game was their performance right underneath the basket. Kansas center Cole Aldrich became a fortress at the post and had seven blocks against Mizzou.

"It falls on a lot of the gaurds. The gaurds got to get in there and they got to get a lot more scrappy and do a lot more things than that because the big men in there are fighting and a lot of times they're...I don't think our big men are outmatched they're just outsized but sometimes they're out sized," said Zaire Taylor.

But a loss like this doesn't startle the Tigers.

"I think its one game. I mean its not a spread. One thing you don't do is you don't panic. You know uh I've been around this game a long time uh whether it be one whether it be twenty it don't matter. We didn't play well."

The Tigers look to bounce back in the next two home games. With the loss, the Tigers fall to 15-5 overall, and 3-2 in Big Twelve Conference play.

The good news for Missouri...The Tigers next two games are at Mizzou Arena, where the Tigers are unbeaten this season, and have won their last 31 home games. Oklahoma State visits Saturday at one, then Texas A&M visits next Wednesday night.
