COOPER COUNTY - Westbound I-70 traffic near Rocheport was backed up for three miles after two simultaneous accidents Thursday morning.
A black pick-up truck smashed into the back of a tractor trailer at 10 a.m. The truck was destroyed and the driver was taken to the hospital. Several other drivers were injured from a chain reaction accident. There is no word yet on the conditions of the people involved in the wrecks.
Vehicles couldn't move for almost an hour and a half and traffic stretched back more than 3 miles from the bridge.
