JEFFERSON CITY - Jay Nixon and leaders held a special meeting to discuss legislative priorities before the upcoming session.
Nixon said neither "Democrat" nor "Republican" in the meeting.
Nixon said this is the start for a bipartisan relationship, and he greatly looks forward to working with these leaders.
"Today's session was an extremely positive one. We had a very thoughtful, if short, discussion. I greatly look forward to working with these four fine Missouri leaders," he said.
Nixon will be sworn in on Jan. 12.
