COLUMBIA - Police have arrested two men whom they believe to be involved with a motor vehicle theft Friday evening.
21-year-old Scottie Willet and 27-year-old Kenneth Spencer have been taken into custody.
Deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle on Locust Grove Church Road around 8 p.m. A 2005 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from a residence in the area. The vehicle was equipped with the On-Star system, and Deputies made contact with the system to locate the vehicle. They observed the vehicle at the corner of Moberly Drive and Mauller north of Columbia, and Willet, who was driving, surrendered immediately.
Willet is currently being held at Boone County Jail on charges of stealing a motor vehicle and driving while suspended for a total bond of $5,000.
Spencer is currently being held at Boone County Jail on the charge of conspiracy to steal a motor vehicle. He also has two outstanding warrants for a total bond of $11,000.
