GLASGOW - MoDOT closed the Glasgow Bridge Monday for major repairs. Drivers will be able to use a ferry service to get across.
MoDOT issued an announcement saying high water levels receded quickly enough for contractors to prepare the ferry access area.
Using the ferry is not free. Tickets are $8.00 per trip if purchased on the ferry but it is two dollars less if the ticket is purchased from the city of Glasgow. MoDOT says oversized vehicles will need four tickets per trip. The ferry will operate as long as river levels remain safe.
