It seems like construction on Missouri highways never ends.
MODOT met with MU's Truman School of Public Affairs today to talk about paying for the repairs. MODOT says the cost for construction, maintence and fuel for Missouri's highway system is growing. But, according to MODOT, money for highway maintenence drops off in 2010.
Transportation funding comes mostly from federal and state fuel taxes. The groups say highway funding is important not only to those who drive on the highways, but everyone who uses what's delivered on the roads.
