Jefferson City police say that Douglas Menke's southbound vehicle crossed the center line, skidding into the passenger side of a northbound car. His vehicle then was pushed into another vehicle parked on the road.

Virginia Adler, the driver of the northbound car, and passengers Cynthia Edwards and Mary Sutton were transported to Capital Region Medical Center. The release included no information on the extent of their injuries. Menke was not injured in the accident.

Adler was the only passenger not wearing a seatbelt.
