COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Officers Association hosted a casino night to raise money for the Rainbow House at Stoney Creek Inn Friday night.

Doors opened at 7 p.m. and members of the public joined Columbia Police officers for a night of gambling.

Guests played blackjack, poker, and roulette, all for charity. A $25 entry fee provided attendees with chips and a chair.

All the proceeds benefited the Rainbow House, a local child emergency shelter and the Columbia Police Officers Association.

"We thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for the Rainbow House, also for the Columbia Police Officers Association: a non-profit organization established to serve and protect officers and employees of the Columbia Police Department. Also, it provides a relaxed enviroment to interact with the department," said Donald Weaver, president of the Columbia Police Officers Association.
