COLUMBIA - The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety and other agenices across the nation are trying to emphasize the "You drink and you drive, you lose" campaign agaisnt drunk driving.
The Columbia Police Department is hosting an event today to give the public a look at what happens to someone who is arrested for impaired driving.
The event begins at 10:00 this morning in Columbia Police Department's booking room.
Officers say that in 2007 someone in Missouri was killed or injured in an alcohol-related crash every 1.7 hours.
