COLUMBIA - Beginning August 8, 2008, KOMU 8 will launch several improvements that will benefit Mid-Missouri Television viewers.

KOMU 8 will be the first and only Mid-Missouri television station to broadcast local news, weather and sports in high definition. KOMU 8 is also launching Live Doppler 8 First Alert Weather, mid-Missouri’s first LIVE high definition radar.

In the morning, KOMU 8 News Today will now be the first local news of the day, beginning at 4:30 a.m.
