COLUMBIA - Missouri fans say it should be BCS, but they're lining up for big D. The Missouri Tiger Football Team is heading to Dallas for a trip to the Cotton Bowl Jan. 1.

Not all Mizzou fans are as happy as you might think after an 11-win season. MU fans have a few choice words when it comes to the Tiger Football Team going to the Cotton Bowl, while two teams Missouri beat are off to Bowl Championship Series games.

"It didn't make a whole of sense to me how a team that we beat and is also two rankings behind us in the BCS jumps us into a better game," said Brian Nethero, an MU senior.

Some thought Missouri's history with the Orange Bowl should have made its committee pick the Tigers.

"The Big 8 Champion always went there for so long, and it seemed like they kind of wanted us, but in the end a one-loss Kansas team just looks better to them I guess," said MU sophomore Nick Kutz.

But those feelings didn't stop Tiger fans from coming out early to get their Cotton Bowl tickets.

"I was the first one here, first car over in the parking lot, so I woke up at 5 a.m.," said MU sophomore Curtis Nevins

Not all fans were as lucky as Nevins though, as tickets were flying fast. A major concern for the BCS Bowl Committee was that Mizzou would not travel well after a loss in the Big 12 Championship Game.

That's not the case as Missouri sold out all of its 16,000 Cotton Bowl tickets in under 40 minutes. The only tickets remaining go out in a student ticket lottery on Wednesday.

Neither Kansas nor Illinois has sold out all of its tickets for the Rose Bowl or Orange Bowl.
