JEFFERSON CITY - At her childhood home, State Treasurer Sarah Steelman announced she is not running for governor.

Making an announcement from her family home, Steelman announced she is running for re-election instead.

There was speculation Steelman was going to run against Governor Matt Blunt after a Steelman for Governor committee was formed last November.
