Big 12 Cross Country Championship

The University of Missouri hosted the Big 12 Cross Country Championships for the second time in school history on Saturday.

The men raced eight kilometers on the A.L. Gustin Golf Course where the MU team finished tied for eighth.

Oklahoma St. Cowboy Ryan Vail won the race with a time of 24 minutes and 50 seconds. In the women's race, MU freshman Katie Vanatta finished 11th with a time of 21 minutes and 48 seconds to help the women's team finish ninth. Vanatta earned All-Big 12 honors with the 11th place finish.

The Oklahoma St. men's team finished first to earn their second straight Big 12 title, while the Texas Tech women's team also repeated as Big 12 champions.
