ST. LOUIS (AP) - It's a full year before Missouri's presidential primaries. But already, many of the state's top Republicans are rallying behind former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Romney is the keynote speaker tonight at the annual Missouri Republican Lincoln Days banquet. He was invited at the encouragement of Governor Blunt, who has helped Romney raise money for his presidential campaign. Former Senator Jim Talent is a Romney adviser. And Lieutenant Governor Peter Kinder, House Speaker Rod Jetton and state Republican Party Chairman Doug Russell also are leaning toward Romney. But it's not unanimous. Some attending the Republican conference prefer former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani or Arizona Senator John McCain. Missouri Senator Kit Bond says he is not favoring anyone at this point.
