MONTGOMERY CITY (AP) - Jury selection begins this morning for a former eastern Missouri teacher accused of having sex with a student. Thirty-year-old Jason Devlin is charged with statutory rape, sodomy and child molestation. Authorities say the victim was 14. Devlin was a teacher and cross country coach at Montgomery County R-Two High School at the time of the alleged incidents in 2004. Jurors are being picked from neighboring Audrain County and will be sequestered. Devlin's wife, Shannon, is charged with witness tampering for allegedly trying to make the victim recant her statements. Her trial is next month.
