MILLERSBURG - One award-winning drill team's members don't wear uniforms or shake pom pons, but holds something else in their hands.
The Bible drill team event is one competition where parents encourage the kids to get out of line.
"In children's level, they have ten seconds to find the verse and in high school level they have eight seconds, " said parent Karla Wiseman.
At the Rising Sun Baptist Church in Millersburg, they know their Obadiah.
"Obadiah it's like in the middle. I think it's the hardest bible book to find," explained drill team member Jake Bowles.
"We practice at home. We're supposed to (for) 15 minutes a day, " stated drill team member Michaela Crawford.
These Bible drillers have taken home church, regional, state and even national awards.
"I placed in the top five drill in high school and I ended up winning at state. I ended up going to national in Duluth, Georgia and I took second, " said Kristin Wiseman.
Kristen won second in the nation for reciting the entire Love Chapter (1 Corinthians 13) with more than two hundred words.
"Kristin got called on to recite the longest verse. The longest passage they have to memorize. At first, you hold your breath and just pray that she'll say it right and then when she does there's this overwhelming proud feeling. That's my kid, " explained Kristen's mom Karla Wiseman.
However these kids rely on these verses not just to win competitions.
"Because whenever you feel hopeless you know he is there and he can help you," said Crawford.
Bible Drill is based on a point system and you get a bonus point if you're the first one to step forward.
