COLUMBIA - The snow is melting but the dents and dings are here to stay.
Some unprepared drivers are dealing with some pretty hefty repair bills after Thursday's snow.
Columbia Police report they responded to more than 100 car accident calls Thursday night.
From overturned cars to an untimely meeting with a telephone pole, our cameras have captured it all. KOMU stopped by an auto body repair shop in columbia and they had a lot, full of cars waiting to be repaired.
Some cars simply turned on their side while some slammed into telephone polls. One car was found completely overturned on the side of Highway 63.
Folks at the repair shop say, it means a little extra business for them, but the bottom line is drivers need to pay that extra attention when behind the wheel on the white stuff.
Columbia Police remind everyone to do what they've always been told as roads get slick again tonight. They say to make sure your tires have the right amount of air in them.
If you start to skid, then turn your steering wheel in the direction you want to go.
But most importantly, just slow down.
