COLUMBIA - Cafe Berlin can help out the homeless.

Until Nov. 8, the cafe will donate 10 percent of it's sales to the Rainbow House.

Rainbow House began the Sol House Program two years ago and has helped 32 homeless youths.

The program allows eight people ages 16 to 21 to stay rent-free and receieve mentoring, education, and life skills training. Currently, the Sol House's wait list is at it's highest ever. It receives about 10 to 15 calls per day and has 35 young people on the wait list.

The State Department of Education counted 198 students that were visibly homeless or living in unstable environments last year.

Local homeless shelters do no accept youth. The Sol House is the only transitional living program in Mid-Missouri.

Whatever you order at Cafe Berlin during the first week of November will go towards this cause.
