The polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

KOMU spoke to the Boone and Callaway County clerks today and they both said they expected voter turnout to be relatively low. Boone County Clerk Wendy Noren said it's not as bad as it could be.

"It's more of a reflection of the conversations people are having. If people are really happy with their school board, there's not a lot of interest," said Noren.

The issues on Mid-Missouri ballots are mostly about education bonds. In Boone County, about 4,000 people are eligible to vote for school bond proposals in Sturgeon and Harrisburg, Missouri.

In Cole County, eligible voters will be voting for a bond in the Cole County R-1 district.

In Callaway, North Callaway R-1 has a two and a half million dollar bond issue.

KOMU will keep you updated throughout the elation process. We'll have reactions to some of the big issues in our ten o'clock newscast.
