ST. LOUIS (AP) - A new poll shows Senators John McCain and Hillary Rodham Clinton as the leading choices for Missourians planning to vote in the February 5 primary.
That's according to figures gathered for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and KMOV-TV questioning 500 Republicans and 500 Democrats to determine party favorites. A poll found Arizona Senator John McCain with 31% of the support, followed by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee at 25%, ahead of other Republican candidates. New York Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton received support of 44% among the Democrats above Illinois Senator Barack Obama at 31%. Research 2000 did polling last week for the newspaper and television station. It had a margin of error of 4.5% points. On Saturday the Post Dispatch endorsed Barack Obama.
