COLUMBIA- Mizzou point guard Stefhon Hannah was hospitalized early Sunday morning following a disturbance at a Columbia night club.
The Tigers will be without their starting guard for the next four to six weeks. Hannah was in the hospital Sunday night with a broken jaw after the incident.
Columbia Police Sergeant Don Hawkins said police responded to a disturbance at Athena nightclub at 1:07 am on Sunday morning. When officers arrived, they found Hannah laying on the ground. About 20-30 people were around, and nobody claimed to know anything. Medics transported Hannah to the emergency room at University Hospital.
Hannah told police he was coming out of the bar and observed a disturbance. He said that he got caught in the middle of it and was struck in the back of the head when he tried to back away. Hannah could not identify who or what hit him.
