COLUMBIA (AP) - The University of Missouri is joining a nationwide effort to track individual students' classroom performance from pre-kindergarten through college. The Missouri P-20 Center for Education Policy Research is hosting a conference Tuesday on using longitudinal statistics to measure student performance and create policy. The center is home to education researchers from across campus. Conference organizers say that Missouri is part of a small group of states that track public school students' progress. Now the state is adding the early childhood and college years to that effort.
