COLUMBIA - Columbia Police responded to an assualt call late Friday night which led to the arrest of one individual.
At approximately 10:21 p.m., officers arrived at 3001 Providence Road South after receiving a call about an assault with a knife.
Police officers were able to find the victim, a 29 year-old white male of Columbia, at the scene.
The victim provided information to the officers which led to the arrest of John G. Sasek, a 42 year-old white male of Columbia.
The victim and Sasek had an argument at the Providence road location, which resulted in the assault incident.
The victim was transported and admitted to University Hospital and treated for multiple stab wounds to the head and one on his hand.
The victim's injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time.
