COLUMBIA - One of the Missouri basketball programs marquee players is transferring.

Keon Lawrence says he's not happy and wants to play at a school closer to his home in Newark, New Jersey.

In his sophomore season, Lawrence finished as the team's third leading scorer averaging 11 points and more than three rebounds per game.

The guard played more minutes and took more shots than anyone else on the team last season. Lawrence's best game last season came at Kansas when he scored 25 points.

Lawrence decided to come to Missouri while Quin Snyder coached the Tigers but after Snyder got fired, Coach Mike Anderson convinced him to still come to Columbia.
