HALLSVILLE - The Boone County Sheriff's Department conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Route B and Hwy 124 arresting ten people and issuing three summons.

From 11 p.m. until 3 a.m. Friday night to Saturday morning a sobriety checkpoint was operated with the Hallsville Police Department, the Columbia Police Department and with the support of the Boone County Chapter of Mother's Against Drunk Driving.

The following arrests or summons were made.
- 1 arrest for driving while intoxicated
- 1 arrest for driving with a suspended or revoked license
- 2 arrests for possession of marijuana
- 2 arrests for possession of drug paraphernalia
- 1 arrest for outstanding warrants
- 2 arrests for adult liquor law violations
- 1 summons issued for no insurance
- 1 summons for failure to register
- 1 summons for stop sign violation
- 1 arrest for a prohibited weapon

Approximately 194 vehicles were checked at the checkpoint.
