39-year-old Timothy Crum of Columbia was booked on charges of possession of under 35 grams of marijuana, a felony non-support warrant and resisting arrest. 36-year-old Paula Lecco of Ashland was arrested on an unrelated misdemeanor charge.

According to a release from the sheriff's department, deputies on special assignment stopped to check an occupied vehicle during their patrol just after midnight. Crum fled from the deputies, leading them into the woods nearby, where he was apprehended after a short chase.
