COLUMBIA - It takes a lot of work to prepare the news for the day, but preparing to deliver the news everyday can be a chore too.

It sounds superficial, but one of the most asked questions of a television news anchor isn't always about the headlines.

"Yes, we do our own hair and our own makeup," Angie Bailey said. "I always say we're not in a big enough market where that might be an option for some anchors, but it's certainly not for us. We have a little makeup room where we're in charge of putting on our own makeup and doing our own big anchor hair."

There is no makeup artist or on-site stylist at KOMU. We do our own "do's" and wear our own clothes. Tonight we have more of your apparel answers.

"My husband and I enjoy watching the morning news together and have noticed that Megan and Lauren often appear to coordinate their attire," KOMU viewer Kristen asked. "For example, they will both wear black and red on one day or on Fridays if one doesn't have a suit on then the other won't as well. Is this their personal choice or is there some 'on-air criteria' they are following?"

"We really don't plan our outfits, the only time that we ever do any type of planning is that we have a lot of the same jackets because we do a little bit of shopping together so sometimes we'll say, 'I'm going to wear the blue one so she doesn't wear the blue one,' but we really don't plan it's just total fluke," Megan Murphy said.

"We promise we really do not coordinate, there are a couple times a year when we coordinate and that's when we're shooting promos or commercials that we know are going to be airing for a few months," Lauren Whitney said. "We just want to make sure that we don't clash for those. But that really happens two, three times a year tops. But you know what they say, when you sit next to someone, when you're around someone enough, you start to look and act like them, so maybe sometimes we're just thinking alike in the morning."
