The atmosphere Saturday afternoon was fairly intense with some supporters standing out in the cold for an hour, in some cases longer, before they could get inside. 

 

It was shoulder to shoulder, heel to heel for a couple blocks just to see former president Bill Clinton speak at the MU recreation complex. The line to see Clinton, wrapped all the way down the sidewalk and all the way up along Stankowski Field.

 

"I'm still kind of in between and I think this is a good opportunity to get some views on where she stands on things," MU student Brian Honer said. "Once the doors opened, it didn't take long to fill up the standing room, in fact many were turned away."

 

Still those who did see the former President heard Hillary's plans to improve the economy, make health care more affordable and make a college education more accessible for students.

 

"Hillary believes there are three tests, and only three, of a good and great president," former president Bill Clinton said. "Test number one: are the American people better off when you quit than when you started? Test number two: Do our children and grandchildren have a brighter future? Test number three: Is the world coming together or falling apart?"

 

The former President spoke for about an hour. The crowd was responsive to the points he made about Hillary's campaign and her platform.

 

MU Student Recreation Complex reached the fire marshal limit as supporters brought out their cameras and cell phones to capture close images of the former president.
