OSAGE BEACH (AP) - A growing number of alcohol-related accidents, injuries and deaths has some Lake of the Ozarks boosters calling for increased use of designated drivers on the water.

Three people drowned at the lake in the week leading up to Memorial Day. The deaths came as lake business owners and tourism boosters just unveiled a new public awareness campaign. Its slogan: "Think Before You Sink." Statistically, the lake is one of the most dangerous bodies of water in the country. Supporters worry that the growing number of arrests and injuries at the popular Party Cove gathering spot could tarnish the lake's reputation as a family-friendly destination.
