JEFFERSON CITY - Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden is back in Missouri this week, making four stops around the state in the next two days.
Not everyone was able to get their hands on a ticket.
Senator Biden's four stops in Missouri came with short notice.
"With 27 days left to go and Wednesday being the end of registration, of being able to vote, it's an exciting time anyways. But the fact that is was announced that Senator Biden is coming for two full days, making four stops in Missouri, shows you how critical this state is," said Jack Cardetti of the Missouri Democratic Party.
The 600 tickets available in Jefferson City went quickly.
"We started giving away tickets at 10:00 a.m. and we were out by 11:30 a.m.," said volunteer Jo Huddleston.
So now the focus is on preparation, including maintenance and cleaning.
"We are doing a bit more clean-up because of what's coming up as far as power-washing the concrete and stuff like that," said maintenance worker George Land.
Puddles surround Memorial Park as workers power wash the floors. The air smells like wood and cement from the new countertops workers are putting in.
A full house is expected at the event. The venue will hold more than 1,000 people.
Since the Jefferson City ticket location sold out so quickly, the Fulton ticket location sent 70 of it's 150 tickets to the Jefferson City location Wednesday night. The tickets will be first come first serve.
