TUSCUMBIA - Four days after the death of a 20-month-old little girl, one person is under arrest.
According to a press release from the Miller County Sheriff's Department, Roshell D. Johnson, 32, is currently being held at the Miller County Adult Detention Center on $300,000 bond. She is charged with one count of second degree murder, a second count of first degree endangering the welfare of a child, and a third count of first degree child abuse.
Saturday, Sheriff William M. Abbott announced that an arrest warrant was secured for the Brumely resident for the murder of a 20-month-old, Ocean McCoy. The child lived in Johnson's residence. According to investigators, the girl died after Johnson shook her. She died Wednesday night at the University of Missouri Medical Center.
The investigation is currently ongoing at this time.
