CAPE GIRARDEAU (AP) - Scott Johnson's beloved 12-year-old dog, Kali, won't be joining him when he moves to England this week. The Southeast Missouri State University business professor has accepted a teaching job in London. He says he will leave Kali with a family that rescued her when she was lost in October. Celeste Myers and her 6-year-old daughter, Nadia, of Cape Girardeau posted fliers when they found the lost dog, but Johnson never saw them. They met by accident in March, and the new adoptive family turned the dog over to Johnson. But he later decided to let the family keep her. He says he didn't want the dog to have to endure a long flight or be quarantined for six months before joining him in England.
