COLE COUNTY - A Cole County judge says voters in one precinct will get a chance to vote again in the Eastern District Commissioner race.

Poll workers gave 144 voters in Jefferson City's 4th Ward's 4th Precinct the wrong ballot in the August 5 Republican primary for county commissioner.

Poll workers at Our Savior's Lutheran Church made the mistake because the eastern and western commissioner's boundary runs through the precinct.

Some voters who should have received an Eastern District ballot got a Western District ballot instead.

The official total has Jeff Hoelscher winning the GOP nomination with 1,784 votes. That's seven more than Edith Vogel's 1,777 votes.

The 144 voters affected can revote on September 9 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
