JEFFERSON CITY - Delaware Senator and Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate Joe Biden spoke to a crowd of supporters Thursday night.

As the election grows near, political candidates are focusing all their attention on swing-states. On Thursday, the Democratic Party zeroed in on Missouri.

Senator Biden focused his attention specifically on mid-Missouri and the Democratic Party's plan to assist the people across the state.

Biden spoke to a crowd at Memorial Park in Jefferson City. He talked about decreasing dependency on foreign oil by investing in biofuels, which would put money in the pockets of Missouri farmers. He also spoke of increasing healthcare benefits by taxing high-income companies and spoke about the troubled economy.

"This is the Show-Me-State which you all know very well. I'll tell you what, you're looking for someone to show you solutions, someone who has the ideas to write a better ending to this story," Sen. Biden said.

Biden's speech had attendees talking about solutions as well. Every supporter had a specific issue they'd like to see solved and say they're focusing on in the upcoming election.

Sheila Logan, an Obama-Biden supporter said she is losing her health care benefits.

"Senator McCain will be more of the same, it's insane," Jim Wethington, an Obama-Biden supporter said.

On Friday, Biden is headed to Springfield. Senator John McCain campaigned at three events in Wisconsin. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin campaigned in Ohio. Senator Barack Obama also spent the day stumping in the Buckeye State.
