The Boone County Sheriff said that a black man in his thirties sustained a gunshot wound to his stomach and was transported to University Hospital in critical condition after the homeowner had called 911 for him.

There is no information about the victim or any suspects at this time. There were no bullet casings found at the scene or any evidence of a shooter. Police are still investigating where the shooting took place. They are not sure if the shooting occured on Park Lane Drive or if the victim simply appeared there.

Investigators plan to question the victim further, but they are waiting until he recovers from surgery.
