COLE COUNTY - Two men are in jail this weekend after authorities found several illegal possessions in their homes, including homemade explosives.

Jeffrey Bedwell and Justin Schollmeyer, both of Centertown, are being held without bail in the Cole County jail. Charges are pending on both men.

The Cole County Sheriff's Department searched the homes of both men Friday night.  The first home, in the 1300 block of Monroe Street, led to an arrest for possession, with intent to distribute, methamphetamine, possession of a stolen rifle, and possession of five improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Authorities were then led to the second home, in the 11,000 block of Fowler Street, which led to an arrest for outstanding warrants, possession of a firearm, and an additional 30 IEDs.

The cases may be referred to the U.S. Attorney on Tuesday.
