COLUMBIA -Â Missourians gathered late Tuesday night for the Central Missouri Honor Flight's homecoming.
Over one hundred people gathered to support veterans returning home from Washington D.C.
Supporters held signs and waived banners as veterans stepped of their bus after a long trip home. Some onlookers were even moved to tears by the compassion shown to the former soldiers.
The late evening did not ruin veteran Walter Straight's energy. He said he was so excited he could do the entire trip and back again.
"I'm ready to go again, you get all hopped up with adrenaline after something like this," Straight said.
