COLUMBIA - Police are looking for two men accused of robbing another man near the Francis Quadrangle on the MU campus early Sunday morning.

University of Missouri police officers arrived at the intersection of Broadway and Eighth Street after receiving a report of a robbery.

The male victim, who is not an MU student, said the two criminals punched and knocked him to the ground around 1:15 a.m. He said they stole his wallet from his back pocket and then ran north into the downtown area. The victim chased after the two men but fell behind and lost sight of them north of Broadway.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his lower lip, both knees and left elbow, but refused medical assistance.

He described the two suspects both as black males in their late teens to early 20s and between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10 with a small to medium builds and no facial hair. He said both were wearing baggy pants and hooded sweatshirts, one red and one dark-colored.
