Follow Up Files features updates on police violations, a condo fire and a mid-Missouri tuberculosis case.

For the past eight years, police departments and sheriff's offices have been required to show who's getting pulled over in traffic stops. Once a year that information must go to the Attorney General's office.

A few weeks ago KOMU showed the local numbers. As it turns out, 11 police departments and one sheriff's office did not turn in their numbers. The sheriff's office that did not is Ralls County.

Of the 11 police departments, two are in the KOMU viewing area - Bland and Shelbina. By not turning in the numbers, those departments are not eligible for state grants or funds.

If you drive to and from St. Louis often, slow down in the vicinity of Highway 40, and I-270.

That busy intersection is within the city limits of Town and Country. Town and Country Police and MoDOT crews are tired of seeing so many accidents and speeders. Extra police have been called in.

We have an update on Monday night's condo fire at the Lake of the Ozarks.

The fire chief reiterates it appears the fire was started by a lightning bolt. As far as preventing fires from lightning, the chief said the only practical way is using a lightning rod. But he warns, unless that rod is absolutely installed correctly and maintained, using a lightning rod is more trouble than it's worth.

So far so good is the word from University of Missouri Healthcare after an internal tuberculosis case.

An unidentified healthcare worker with patient care duties was diagnosed with tuberculosis earlier this month. It was determined about 300 people came in close enough contact with that worker, and all had to be tested. Of the 190 tests so far, no one showed signs of active tuberculosis.
