A victim reported that the suspect broke through the back door of 1907 Parkade in Columbia. The victim was able to leave the residence and call police.

When the Columbia Police Department arrived, a citizen reported the suspect ran from the residence on Parkade.

A resident on Bettina called 911 to report another attempted burglary 11 minutes later. The victim of the second attempted burglary said the suspect tried to get in by breaking a window in the back of the residence. 

After gaining additional information from citizens who saw the suspect running, officers located him and took him into custody.

Neither of the victims were injured, and no property was taken from either residence.
