It's all about location. It's what matters most to businesses and now dozens of neighbors are getting squeezed out for it.

This is a story we've been following for a couple months as the Stoneridge Village Development changes the landscape around a Jefferson City neighborhood.

The neighborhood of about 50 homes is surrounded by Highway 179, Missouri Boulevard, and growing commercial development.

Originally some residents fought the changes. But now they're finding the best way to deal with it.

For Beverly and Richard Boehm eight grandchildren only know one place as grandma and grandpa's house.

"They'll probably always say, 'there's where grandpa and grandma' lived when they come by here," said Boehm.

The Boehms are planning to move soon as commercial development pushes them out, highways and construction surrounding their neighborhood on all sides.

"Everybody has to change with the times ya know. You can't hold it up," said Beverly Boehm.

That's why they got their home and other pieces of property they own in the neighborhood rezoned for commercial use.

Their realtor told them they'd get more money for their land that way.

And it's something the realtor says you can expect to see more of.

"It's definitely going to be a trend because we're really running out of commercial property to put constructors on," said realtor Harold McDowell.

Boehm put his for sale sign up just a couple weeks ago, and other residents say they'll also end up doing the same.

But the Boehms figure it's for the best.

"We're kind of sad about it, but not..ya know you gotta move with the change.".

Realtors told the Boehm's offers for their land probably won't start rolling in for another six months.
