COLUMBIA - A street was shut down for 2.5 hours Saturday morning as authorities from several departments turned out to respond to a bomb scare.
Columbia fire fighters received a report of seven suspicious devices found in front of a Highlands Parkway home.
The Mid-Missouri Bomb Squad, made up of members from the fire department, Columbia Police Department and MU Police Department, responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m.
They used a remotely controlled vehicle to move the devices away from the home and into a safe are of the yard. The bomb squad determined the devices to be harmless.
No injuries or structural damage resulted from the incident, and police are currently investigating it further.
