Boonville - The Missouri Water Patrol is continuing its search Friday morning for a woman who may have fallen off a Boonville bridge over the Missouri River.

According to New Franklin fire officials a passerby dialed star 55 Thursday night around 8 pm to report a woman walking on the bridge, wearing what appeared to be a hospital gown.

"[Responders] called the hospital over in Boonville," said Lt. David Taylor of the New Franklin Fire Department. "They did a call through all the nursing homes and residential facilities in Boonville and all came back with a good count, all are accounted for."

Although New Franklin units were some of the first to respond, the Missouri Water Patrol is now in charge of the incident.

The Water Patrol searched the area Thursday night and will resume Friday morning.
