University of Missouri Free Film Series - The Green Light |

"The Green Light" will be shown on December 4th in Jesse Wrench Auditiorium in South Memorial Union on the Columbia campus. After the film, a discussion will be moderated by Dr. Clay Anderson, associate professor of clinical medicine at MU and director of the Deptartment of Internal Medicine and Missouri Palliative Care Program. Several crafters will have all sorts of gifts for sale like church mice, clothing, linens, silver, paintings, etc. Childrens activies will be provided and a hearty country ham breakfast will be sold for $8 per adult and $4 per child. Convenient, free parking is available in Hitt Street Garage on the MU campus and all proceeds from the bazaar will go toward helping local charities. Last year $10,000 was raised for charities such as The Shelter, St. Francis House, Meals on Wheels, Voluntary Action Center, Family Health Center, and Habitat for Humanity. Community Christmas Eve Dinner |

| The Moberly Area Community College Activity Center will be the site of this year's 25th annual Community Christmas Eve Dinner. A ham and turkey dinner with all of the trimmings will be served on Wednesday, December 24th from 5-7pm. The dinner is free and open to the public. People from all different walks of life attend the event, from young to old, people with families, people without. Over the years, attendance at the dinner has increased from 75 to 1,500 people and this year an even larger number is anticipated. In addition to a wonderful dinner, prizes and gifts will be awarded to all as santa will make a special appearance. Volunteers are welcome to help with set up at 11am and to clean up after the event. In addition, the committee hosting the dinner is still seeking donations of food, desserts, white elephant gifts, and monetary funds.
