	Buddy Check 8

	Breast cancer can strike any woman...your mother, your sister, your aaunt, your best friend, your daughter, and even you. KOMU is committed to fighting the battle against cancer with information that can make a difference. Buddy Check 8 is a breast cancer prevention program brought to you by KOMU, in partnership with Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and Sprint. One out of eight women is affected in their lifetime by breast cancer. How can you fight back? On the eighth of every month we'll remind you to do your self-breast check, and remind you to remind your buddy to do the same. We'll also bring you stories on breast cancer research and medical breakthroughs. Pick up a shower hang tag with steps to complete a breast check at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center or University Hospital pharmacies. Learn the right way to perform a breast check.


	Crime Stoppers

	KOMU Cares about the safety of your community. Our Crime Stoppers report helps capture those who are wanted for committing criminal acts. Remember, you can fight crime in your community with Crimestoppers. If you see a crime being committed, make the call to Crimestoppers at 875-TIPS.

What's New with our community calendar?

You have probably noticed our community calendar looks quit a bit different.

We have integrated our community calendar into our social networking site. Adding content has never been easier. Now end users have the ability to add their calendar events along with videos and photos.

How does it work?

click here to open our social networking site.
(site will open in a new window)
click on "Sign Up" in the upper right hand side of the page. This process will walk you through setting up an account.
Once your account has been setup and approved, you will be able to start adding content.

What are the Benefits?

Post events, start a blog, chat with your friends, upload videos and photos. All of these are things you are now able to do through our social networking site.
