Police Canine and Handler Recognized
ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis County police canine and his handler are being recognized for their service. "Bart" and Officer John Hallquist won first-place in a competition for controlled substance detection. Sunday's event was sponsored by The German Shepherd Dog Club of St. Louis at Purina Farms in Gray Summit. The St. Louis County Police says it has entered canines and handlers for the last seven years, and consistently wins top awards.
